Today, Monday, a KurdSat reporter said that two brothers tried to cross the Kurdistan region border into Iran and were ambushed by the Revolutionary Guards and shot dead.

The brothers were named Sarbaz and Kamran; one of them became a father just ten days ago, the report added.

“We do not exactly know how they were killed; they were shot when they returned,” a relative of the killed told KurdSat English. According to the source, they were serving with the Peshmerga. But the Peshmerga were not on duty when they went to a business in Iran.

According to our reporter, the victims’ bodies were sent to the Ranya Forensic Medical Examination department to be handed over to their relatives for burial.

In October, the Iranian Border Guards opened fire on some villagers from the Kurdistan region, killing one and injuring others in a village on the KRG-Iran border. The villagers were headed to the funeral of a relative killed in the Iran protests.
